One and two line engraving on flat plastic surfaces (above) is typically the least expensive method of name identification. To keep costs low, adding a pin back attachment is most effective and least costly. 20 letter maxium Name badges manufactured with this process can be as low as $7.00 each in quantity (100 minimum plus shipping and tax where applicable). Other attachments include swivel clips (.50 ea additional.) , military post backs (.70 ea. additional) and magnets (1.75 ea.). See photos at bottom of this page

Adding corporate logos (above), religious and fraternal emblems and corporate I.D's. usually requires a minimum of two "passes" with the laser or engraver. The first is to laser or engrave the logo. By doing this initially it establishes same size settings for all the badging keeping your I.D. uniform in appearance as well as mass producing the badge quickly. Next, names are laser engraved whether it is one, two or (in some cases) three lines. Because of the extra pass, cost is typically a little higher with the logo or emblem than without it, however, cost is not that much more and the results are tremendously enhanced. Logo set-up charges $35. Engraving charges .20 per letter. After 1st use your logo is stored in our data vault for future use with no additional set-up charges. Above badge includes pin back although alternate attachments are available and listed below at additional cost. Above prices are for minimum orders of 100 + S&H & a maxium of 15 letters. Beveled corners (above right) are optional at .40 per badge.

 
Sublimation (above) is a process that basically uses special plastic material to act as a roll of film and apply a photographic image to the plastic. Thus, you can take a picture of just about anything and make it work for you to keep your corporate identification uniform wherever it appears...even on a name badge. Because the process applies the picture to the the plastic, no further engraving is required. Heat overlay or transfer is yet another way of applying a photo, logo or color scheme to the surface, however, when you engrave names through that surface material the inner core color of the plastic shows through. As an example, if the core color of the material used on the illustration above (STARZ HOUSE) was yellow, EMIL's name would appear in yellow. By selecting color coordinated inner cores and exteriors (and using the sublimation process or overlays) you are utilizing the 4-color process to it's maximum. Because Sublimation is a unique process, however, and special plastics are used, colors are limited. There is a one-time set up charge of $100 plus a $35 color charge to align the color registers. After your initial set-up, your image is stored for future use at no additional charge other than to align the color register.

Metal "backers" provide a rigid base for any name badge as well as layering the badge to provide height and depth and a 3-D effect. Typically magnets are used to attach to garments although you can use pin, clip or military posts. Backers accommodate a plastic or metal badge approximately 1" x 3" and are good for simple one or two line engravings up to (and especially) customer logos and color processes as shown above. Backers are available in either Gold or Silver (each shown above) @ $1.75 ea.

Clear above is typically used as a backer/clip for badges where no clip, pin or magnet can be used either due to clothing material being too delicate or other material restrictions or, for application with a metal badge.
